EKİN AKBAŞ ARPACI

Ekin Akbaş Arpacı, who focuses on the relation between body-space-movement, investigates gendered perceptions of space and spatial codes of behavior through female body.
She looks into gender-relevant behavior within a space, and how social, cultural, economic and political changes affect and transform these behaviors. She also studies space and space-related behavior formations through fictionalized roles.
Besides her project works, since 2012, she has been teaching adultballet | balefit classes studying, developing, and experiencing body-movement relationality with the system she developed herself in the city she was born in, Istanbul.
